I’m just being honest with you: There are times when I maybe don’t tell everything exactly, but what would that change? Nothing! So I’ll just do it!

What you have to really appreciate about me is that I have always been kind to my enemies. Have you ever seen something like that? I (almost) never avenged myself on my enemies with crudelitas—that is, cruelty. Why would I do that? That’s just a typical virtue of rulers. For those who are interested: I even got a special name for it. It’s called “Clementia Caesaris” (Caesar’s mercy).

Here you see how merciful I actually have always been to all of you and still am: I don’t commit cruel acts just because you lost and I, the ruler, won. What can I do if they suddenly become my followers? Did I do something wrong? Because I spared my enemies? But suddenly everyone switches sides. I still partly can’t understand it… Some even spoke of gratitude and supported me 🤷‍♂️. Why not? That way, they helped me gain more power. If they had resisted me, maybe I wouldn’t have so much power. Without my followers, I wouldn’t have come this far! Thanks to you heroes, my followers, who still fight for the good cause with me.
